Morning stiffness is one of the most common symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. It also occurs in other “inflammatory” forms of arthritis like psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

Check out my latest article for BezzyRA.com called “6 Ways to Reduce Morning Stiffness.” the article also includes an explanation for why this phenomenon happens!

Here’s the “too long didn’t read” summary version:

  • 1. Gentle stretching and exercise to loosen up stiff tissue
  • 2. Turn up the heat
  • 3. Use compression (like compression gloves)
  • 4. Practice mindfulness
  • 5. Plan your mornings carefully
  • 6. Connect with your medical team if morning stiffness worsens
